Three-Year Program
Are you looking for a fascinating career with job security? A chronic shortage of nurses in North America makes nursing one of the best professions to enter. As a bilingual graduate of ETP’s Nursing Diploma program, you may enter the profession as a novice nurse at all levels of care in hospitals, community health organizations and public health services.
Graduates of this three-year program, offered in collaboration with the University of Ottawa, qualify to write the Canadian Registered Nurses Examination in order to become a Registered Nurse (R.N.). They also have the option of pursuing a fourth year of study at CUSB (via videoconference) and obtaining a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (B.N.). Graduates have three years to transfer their credits to the Bachelor of Nursing Program. The Nursing Diploma is awarded by the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, whereas the Bachelor of Science in Nursing is awarded by the University of Ottawa.
Le Consortium national de formation en santé (cnfs)
The CNFS is a consortium of Canadian universities and health care institutions whose mandate is to facilitate access to education in health sciences and medicine for students from minority French-speaking communities. Students are then encouraged to return to their home provinces for their clinical training. For more information, please visit the CNFS website at www.cnfs.ca. The Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, a participating member of the CNFS, offers training in nursing and social work.
