College Programs (École technique et professionnelle)

The École technique et professionnelle (ETP) offers college programs that are oriented towards employability and meeting the needs of the current job market.

Health Care Aide* Certificate 6 months
Early Childhood Education Diploma 2 years
Nursing Diploma 3 years

A workplace practicum, in Manitoba or elsewhere, is an important component of most ETP programs. The practicum allows students to increase their knowledge beyond what they have acquired in the classroom and develop the following skills that are in high demand in the workplace:

  • Written and spoken communication (in French and in English)
  • Time management
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Computer literacy
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Awareness of safe work practices
